Stick a Fork in it...

...this column's done.

My Trader Joe's column is now online, and you can check out my take on the store with the Joefficial Forkster review.

If you do go to the 3-week-old Chapel Hill store, save some Mango Passion Granola for me!

Excellent review, JB. I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment.

I meant to tell you that our TJ's box of clementines said "Jon's Favorite!" on the side. I thought that was pretty cool.

We've been buying the four-pack of pears there, but I definitely see your point on the produce issue.

My favorite TJ's products so far are the mini peanut butter cups, chocolate covered peanuts, vegetable and bean burritos, low-fat cheddar cheese sticks (great flavor and texture for low-fat) and the frozen fish selection. The Oat Bran and Cinnamon Swirl cereal is a HUGE hit will all members of the household. We also ate some mixed berry muffins the other day, and it was so dense and oat-filled that we realized what we'd previously considered muffins were actually more like cupcakes.

I agree that the prices are great -- much better than at my neighborhood grocery, even for the non-TJ-brand items.

Again, great review! I will definitely try that granola...

Thanks, MB. I'll definitely have to check out some of those suggestions. Mini peanut butter cups...oh baby!

How'd they know clementines are my favorite?!

trail mix. trail mix trail mix trail mix. and the Fage yogurt, 2%. and two-buck chuck (might be three bucks in NC) - $2.99 for a bottle of decent table wine. you'll never pay ten bucks for a bottle of wine again!

I haven't seen the trail mix, but I'm eager to try the Three-Buck Chuck now sitting in my cupboard. Also, just got a six pack of Bohemian Lager. Bottoms up!
