Raisins
Bingo. They were more like raisins than grapes, but you could argue both answers.
Actually, they were a little over (sun)baked, so I'd say they were beyond raisins on the grape to raisin continuum.
Anyway, I found these while harvesting grapes for a food recovery group.
I was excited to find my first "au natural" raisins. To my dismay, though, they didn't exactly taste like Sun Maid.
