Stick a Fork in It...
..this column's done. I had fun experimenting with ice cream sandwiches, but all good things...have a deadline.

Should've posted this when I first saw the experimentation, but I just remembered now. I've had great success with ice cream (burritos or wraps).
Basically, you take a flour tortilla (chocolate if you can find it, but plain works well too), spread a thin layer of caramel or other sauce on half, add some spice (cinnamon, etc.), and toss in the ice cream of your choice. Then you fold it up burrito-style, wrap it in aluminum foil, and pop it in the freezer for a while.
When the flavors have all melded together, it's fantastic - and the ice cream squeezage is minimized.
Talk about Monday morning quarterbacking! Yes, this would have been very helpful a week ago. But still, it's very welcome information.
Totally! A tortilla makes perfect sense on the squeezage minimization front, just as a pita or wrap keeps a regular sandwich tidy. I'm gonna have to try this...
I've heard of Choco Tacos, but Chocolate tortillas? Do these exist in NC??
